Contributing to this blog

If you would like to contribute to this blog and share your experiences with others who have dealt with or are dealing CRPS in toes, please do get in touch with me and I will create an account for you so that you can make contributions to the site.

I would ideally like to get as many case studies on here as possible.  The more people share knowledge about this condition the better for everyone!

  1. You neglect to mention anything about neutralizing the toenails after the application of phenol. You said the toenails were packed with gauze after the phenol was applied. Also you didn't indicate how long the phenol was applied. Certainly if no neutralization was done, then that would result in prolonged burning. I suggest you do some research regarding phenol burn injury.

  2. my docter perfomed matricectomy for ingrown toenail and my docter did not!!! neutralize the phenol which resulted in severe prolonged pain/ inflamation and turned out it even damaged toe bone cortex and spongy tissue. 4 months later and still inflamed toe/cant walk/pain/swelling. it took a while to get diagnosed, wasn't taken seriously- get x ray or scans!
